'TheMrsTee' Blog Packs A Wallop

There’s a lot of muscle across the mom blogger network, my friends, and TheMrsTee blog is no exception.  In fact, it packs a punch according to fans. You might have guessed that given the name, right?  Sorta establishes particular expectations from the get-go. But not even the title of this blog can compare to the toughness of the author.

Tiffany Haywood is a pillar of strength, courage, fortitude, and faith, who has overcome numerous obstacles in her life with the grit and determination of a true champion.  Today, she coaches other mothers to do the same, winning personal and professional matches that result in peace-of-mind, self-fulfillment, renewed purpose, and hard-earned happiness.

A true and inarguable representation of the power of 'good', TheMrsTee brings that critical element and positive characteristic to every post she writes and life she touches.  Get in the ring with her through the interview below.

What is your full name?

Tiffany Haywood

What is your personal mantra?

All things work together for the good… {Romans 8:28}

This text has carried me through so many times in my life - both good and bad. It has given me the hope and strength to push forward - always.

Tell us about your life, including where you live, number of children and anything else you would like to share.

I was born and raised in New York but as a Military spouse I have learned to make my home wherever my family and I are together -- from North Carolina to Hawaii and back again. The experiences we've had as a family have taught me to appreciate the important things in life. I am a

Believer, woman, wife, mother and Coffee Addict who grew up on the altar of the church. I was a teen mom at seventeen, married at twenty three and became the mom to our “then” team of 3. We have been married nearly fifteen years, now, and have six children --  ages 22, 20, 19, 10, 8 and 6.

I began my blog as a way to give shelter to the words, thoughts and ideas floating around in my head. It has become so much more than just that. Nearly 4 years later TheMrsTee is not only my online journal but my passion and a source of income. I believe in passing on the good. I try to live my life and share my blog with that in mind.

Do you believe that you have a “life’s purpose?” If so, share it.

I guess I jumped ahead a bit… lol!  I believe my purpose in life is to live a life that can give encouragement and strength to others who may be going through the same things I’ve gone through. To be that testimony that nothing is too hard or too difficult to overcome. There is good in the world and you can be that good for those around you.

Finish this sentence, “The best part about being a mom is _____.”

The best part about being a mom is knowing that I am the perfect mom for them. I don’t need to compare myself to anyone else because they are mine and I am theirs.

What is the name of your blog? When was it launched?

The name of my blog is TheMrsTee - that’s me! I launched it a few weeks before my birthday in 2013.  I love being MrsTee as the name suits who I am, gives me room to grow, and packs a punch when others hear it.  Every post I write is a true representation of who I am.

What is the primary focus of your blog and what do you hope to accomplish through it?

TheMrsTee is a lifestyle blog - if I am forced to place it into a niche. I write and share about everything that is a part of who I am and my life: Faith, Family, Fashion, Food, Fun Tech and Travel.

List any awards you have won.

I’ve won or been recognized for several Blogger-to-Blogger awards over the years. As of date, my most beloved award it the Voices of the Year (VOTY) Award from BlogHer. It is an award presented to recognize work of women in the different platforms of Social Media and topics ranging from humor to human rights. I was honored last year in the Video platform and it meant the world to me. I realized that this girl from the Bronx was actually making an impact - even in my humor. I am truly blessed beyond my wildest dreams.

Are you a Brand Ambassador and if so, for which companies?

I am not a Brand Ambassador YET! That is one of my goals for this year. I do have longstanding partnerships with several brands including JORD Wood Watches and Zenni Optical, two brands that really help me express my unique style.

Do you blog for other blogs or sites?

In the beginning of my blogging journey, I wrote for several parenting sites but scaled back a bit to focus on the vision I had for TheMrsTee. I do contribute to BlogHer.com on occasion and I am looking into writing and contributing to other sites more consistently in the near future.

Which social media outlet do you find most useful?

Facebook has actually started to grow on me a bit in the past year or so. I used to have an exclusive love affair with Twitter but I have found Facebook offers me the opportunity to not only engage and share with my audience but to offer support to fellow Bloggers as well.

What is the one piece of advice you would give to those who may be interested in beginning a blog?

Believe in yourself, your passions and your dreams. Your voice is unique - build on that. Embrace what is different about you and make it your greatest asset!

Share the 2-3 blogs that you follow.

Krystel Spell’s ArmyWife101.com

Brandi Riley’s MamaKnowsItAll.com

Dani Faust’s OkDani.com

Are you an entrepreneur or professional beyond your blog (and outside of being a mom)?

Please share. Yes! I recently began my own Blogger Consultation site - TiffanyHaywood.com. Through networking, researching, planning and acting, I’ve learned how to achieve my goals in the most efficient ways possible, taking my blog beyond my URL. I want to help others do the same.

Do you support – either formally or informally – a particular social cause?

I am a Girl Scout Volunteer and very involved in my kids extracurricular activities. I feel that giving children the foundation to be unique, creative and confident is the key to raising healthy adults. I do that through volunteering time, creativity and effort in our local community.

When all is said and done, how do you want to be remembered?

I want to be remembered as a woman, wife and mother who took her past and made it the foundation for her future. I didn’t let my past mistakes define me but instead used them to inspire me to be my best version of myself

Whether you are a lightweight, middleweight, or heavyweight, TheMrsTee blog is the blog for you. So lace up; grab the towel out of the hamper that you threw in yesterday; and let the bell sound.  Tiffany Haywood is in your corner and she’s all you need to embark on a come-back like you and your family have never seen before, I assure you!
